Girl in the Mirror

Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?
A stranger stares back with eyes so wide, a face so fair
Why, you are, my child with porcelain skin like a doll
But your soul, cold as ice, empty emotions as you glare.

Glare at the unpleasant world with your piercing eyes
Not a human in the world can break your wall of ice
A heart once warm and affectionate now broken from goodbyes
Every fairy tale, every alluring dream has it's price.

An angelic face so beautiful yet so bereft of life
An admirable heart now marred with hateful spite
The stranger in the mirror and the girl in real life
They are not one of the same. Soon, you'll be alright.

Soon.
