Ten games of solitaire all victorious for all the diehards.
For me, repetitious like the ruffles on the gowns adorned by bridesmaids.
Imprisoned in a cubicle barely functioning from nine to five.
Unpleasant like the time my bare foot stepped on a burning cigarette
To heal the pain in my foot and the pain in my heart, I did strive
Tears streamed down my face as I cried for Momma; I could never forget
Forget the time my father's fist swung at her immaculate face
An "accident" he called it but I was smart enough to know
The truth about why he left carrying his brown suitcase.
That lowlife tarnished my family and left my mother for a hoe.
